92-93 points Fine Wine Review: "Rich, round, enveloping, intense, deep, intense dark fruits. Tremendous potential, but needs much more barrel aging. Tannins present. Lots of complexity. Hailed, but berries dried and fell off. Destemmed all in this vintage, usually have 50% whole clusters (all from a particular part of the vineyard). Domaine wine. (4/2/20)"
92+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Revisited from bottle, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles offers up aromas of cherries, plums, cassis and smoked meats that are still quite youthfully fruit-driven at this early stage. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and elegantly muscular, it's a rich but nicely balanced wine that's holding a lot in reserve. Drink: 2025-2050. (Oct 2020)"
92 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$170 list] This is lush and pure, offering black cherry, black currant and toasty oak notes. Excellent length too, but this is mostly about the expressive fruit. Drink now through 2032. 200 cases imported. (12/15/20)"
90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru comes from a one-hectare plot located mid-slope. It has a lively blueberry-scented bouquet typical of this vineyard, nicely focused if not amazingly complex. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins; the oak is a little more noticeable here, although it will be subsumed with time. Lovely white pepper and clove notes surface on the finish. Drink over the next 15–20 years. Drink: 2021-2037. (Jan 2020)"
