92-95 points Fine Wine Review: "Bouchard’s Meursault-Genevrières is typical Genevrières in its nose, and in the mouth with its finesse, length, and lightness. The wine has excellent acidity and length, making for an excellent Genevrières. There is a touch of sucrosity here that I expect to fade away with time. About 35 hl/ha yield here. (3/11/18)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW.

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2016 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is excellent, unfurling in the glass with notes of citrus oil, crisp Anjou pear, beeswax, wet stones and dried white flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and incisive, with an elegantly satiny attack, a tangy line of acidity and a tight-knit, concentrated core, concluding with a beautifully delineated finish. This is a racy, acid-driven Genevrières that will evolve beautifully in the cellar. Bouchard's holdings in Genevrières amount to some 15% of the appellation, so it's reassuring to see that they are in good hands. Drink: 2021-2036. (Jan 2019)"

93 points and 'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from an incredible 2.7 ha parcel which makes Bouchard the largest owner, surpassing the 2.5 ha of Latour-Giraud). Residual SO2 is sufficient to dominate the nose today. Marvelously energetic and intensely mineral-driven flavors also possess excellent cut that characterizes the bitter lemon and saline-inflected finish that delivers seriously fine length. This chiseled effort is almost Chablis-like and will require at least a few years of bottle age first. Drink: 2024+. (Jun 2018)"

93 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$130 list] Lean and tight, with oak spice wrapped around a core of lemon, apple and stone flavors. Firms up in the end, yet shows the intensity and promise of things to come. Best from 2021 through 2029. 150 cases imported. (9/30/18)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "2.65 hectares from two plots; one from above the road to Chassagne which is a steep slope of old vines. The second, a more stony plot that brings freshness and minerality. They are separately vinified, before eventual blending. Ooh – now it’s getting exciting – this is like the last wine with a mineral vibration at the base. A little distracting gas. Lots of volume, really lots of energy and complexity – changing, bubbling over the palate – great energy – not the bottle for calm contemplation – but it will work for just about everything else! (Dec 2017)"
