94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Bouchard owns 0.55 hectares in this small Premier Cru. It starts off with some attractive reduction before moving on to the nicely concentrated yet delicate mid-palate that tingles with freshly-squeezed lemon, yellow currant and white peach. Bracing acidity combines with the mineral finish to deliver serious gulpability... though of course the wine is best appreciated for its more intellectual qualities in time! 2023-32. (2022)"

94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The grapes for this wine are from the half-hectare on the border with Porusot. Despite its mid-slope location, this ripens late. The fruit is pressed as whole clusters and fermented in cask, with no more than 15% new. Rather surprisingly for the vintage, there is a lovely green apple and citrus fruit on the nose here and surprising freshness on the palate, although the wine never loses its typical Meursault richness and density. Drinking Window: 2023-2040. (Nov 2021)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Les Gouttes d'Or is one of the highlights of the range this year, offering up aromas of citrus oil, honeyed pears, freshly baked bread and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with lively acids and a long, penetrating finish. (Jan 2022)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Meursault Les Gouttes d’Or 1er Cru has a more complex bouquet than the Bouchères with lanolin, dried honey and hazelnut aromas that unfold in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a zest opening: pink grapefruit, orange zest and a touch of spice, this has good weight on the finish. Fine. Drink: 2024-2038. (Dec 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Narrower but still a fine depth with wonderful aromatic clarity. Bright and wide, lovely attack to this pure flavour – lots of width too. Bravo – I could drink this all day… (Dec 2021)"
