95-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Purchased grapes from the equivalent of one hectare. The rows come down from the forest, so can be picked a bit later. Huge gorgeous purple colour, with a massive intensity of fruit to go with. Black fruit notes, good tannins here, optimum ripeness, the stems add a little tingle, very long, a bit more robust than chez Rousseau, but really very fine. (Nov 2020)"

93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is destined to be much less controversial than its 2018 predecessor, as Bouchard was able to determine the date of harvest this year. Wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, woodsmoke, dried flowers, licorice and loamy soil, it's full-bodied, bright and tightly wound, with real concentration and a long, precise finish. Here too there is just enough wood present to remark upon mingling with the equally spicy nose that features notes of plum, various dark berries, exotic tea and hints of game. The sleek, cool and restrained larger-scaled flavors are finer still while flashing no lack of power and drive that really builds toward the intensely saline-suffused finish. The wine is very precise, with a beautiful expression of ripe black cherry fruit, smoke, earth and exotic spices.
