92-94 points Fine Wine Review: "Floral nose with some spices. Good freshness, concentration, dark berry fruits, a bit of violet. Moderate acidity gives fleshiness, good length. Will age well. Whole cluster varies by parcel. (12/18/18)"
93 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Bouchard Père's historic 4ha parcel at the centre of this excellent premier cru is the 'filet mignon' of Grèves, according to Frédéric Weber. Owned by the négociant since 1791, this is an intense, aromatic, engagingly floral Pinot Noir with 15% stems and 30% new wood and good support from tannins and balancing acidity. (Drink between 2024-2030. (Nov 2018)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Beaune Les Grèves Vigne de L’Enfant Jesus 1er Cru comes from the 3.91-hectare parcel on the mid-slope, currently undergoing piecemeal replanting. It has a wonderful, expressive bouquet of dark cherries, wild strawberry and crushed stone that is easily the best of Bouchard’s Beaune Premier Crus. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin and well-judged acidity, perhaps a little oakier than the Les Teurons but with more depth and precision on the finish. Great potential. Drink: 2021-2038. (Jan 2019)"
