90-91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2014 Grands Liards was just a touch reduced at the time of my visit, but with a bit of swirling opened up nicely. This is a very precise and refined example of this lieux à dit this year, delivering a fine, red fruity nose of currants, cherries, bonfires, stony soil tones and a touch of venison in the works. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and really very soil-driven, with a fine core, ripe, chewy tannins and lovely length and grip on the focused and tangy finish. This will need a couple more years than the Bourgeots to blossom, but should prove to be another excellent example of the vintage. 2022-2050. (Nov/Dec 2015)"
