93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Amélie loves this terroir. It is not that Arvelets is intrinsically better than Hervelets, but that she is in a prime spot in the former, on red soil, whereas the Berthaut-Gerbet holding of Hervelets is on sandier soil at the top of the vineyard. 60% whole bunch vinification. The Arvelets shows very well even after Echezeaux though not as succulent, yet with deeper fruit at the back and a dark floral quality. I love the aftertaste, impressive length very well balanced. (Nov 2021)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Fixin 1er Cru Les Arvelets is beautiful, wafting from the glass with scents of wild berries, violets, spices and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a long, perfumed finish, it was vinified with some 60% whole clusters. Drink: 2025-2045. (Jan 2023)"

91-93 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is also somewhat somber with more evident floral elements adding a touch of elegance to the more layered aromas of red and dark berries and earth. The texture of the medium-bodied flavors is slightly finer with good minerality and detail on the slightly more complex and persistent finale. This is also going to need at least some forbearance before it is likely to drink well. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Starting a little reductive but cleaning up and growing with lovely floral components. Super silky, aplenty of concentration. A mineral aspect in the finish. Simply excellent, indeed great Fixin. (1/17/22)"
