92-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Fresh mid purple, a very clean nose with a joyous raspberry and strawberry feel, much more character than many a young Clos Vougeot, and with excellent oak integration. This is singing today. Amélie says that she has deliberately aimed for much less extraction to avoid making a foursquare Clos Vougeot. Her recipe has been a great success. Tasted: December 2018."

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of berry fruit, incense, orange rind, musk and spices introduce the 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied wine that's broad, fleshy and elegant, with satiny—even melting—structuring tannins, good depth at the core and a long, expansive finish. Berthaut performs less pigeage on this cuvée than any other in the winery to temper its tendency to structural muscularity, and that approach, allied with the inherently supple vintage, has made for a very elegant wine. (Jan 2019)"

92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is well-defined on the nose and displays impressive purity and grace. It really lets the terroir speak, though it is quite understated. The nicely structured palate is well balanced with tart red cherries and raspberry fruit, although it lacks a little length on the finish. A well-crafted if early-drinking Clos de Vougeot with class. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting. Drink: 2022-2035. (Jan 2022)"
