92 points Wine Enthusiast: "There's a subtle floral streak on the nose of this bottling, with crumpled violet, lavender and lilac aromas, but also tart elderberry and white pepper. Baked boysenberry and more violet shows on the rich sip. Alcohol 14.7%. (Nov 2020)"
Producer notes: "[$34 list] A slightly riper vintage than 2017, the 2018 PMV Syrah is loaded with blackberry and boysenberry fruits, chocolate, pepper, and PMV trademark gaminess in both flavor and aroma. Wonderfully rounded texture, with beautiful balance between all its parts – fruit, oak, tannin, acid and alcohol – the 2018 is another hugely successful vintage of PMV Syrah. Drinking very well upon release, the 2018 should evolve beautifully for the next 15-18 years!"
