90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fine dense red purple colour, the nose again hits this perfect cusp of red and black, ripe enough but with good energy. Lovely seamless density of flavour, light on its feet, gracious sweet textured wine with a fresh finish. Note: tasted without its usual 1er cru components of Noirots and Sentiers which may yet be added back in. Tasted: November 2018. (Nov 2018)"

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Chambolle villages is beautifully perfumed and mineral this year, with the nose offering up scents of cherries, strawberries, roses, chalky soil tones, gamebird and just a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full and very nicely balanced, with a good core, fine mineral drive and lovely, seamless tannins perking up the long and focused finish. Good juice. 2024-2055. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
