Aubert Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2020

Producer notes: "The 2020 vintage began as one of the earliest starts to the vines growing season since 2015. Dry and warm with only half of our annual rainfall, this drove the vines to produce small, intensely flavored grapes. Time for the vines to dig deep… Conditions were warm throughout most of the year, which promoted steady ripening and mature tannin development. Late August heat accelerated the harvest season, which began and ended in a brisk eleven days. Our winemaking was judicious and strategic, and the wines exemplify the highpoints of our expertise – our commitment to create the best wines we can. Once in barrel, the Pinot Noirs slowly came into focus. The Russian River lots began to resemble their warmer, sun kissed sources – luscious fruits, rich textures, and radiant acidity. The wines are a thrill to enjoy today and will be a pleasure to dissect over the next several years."
