93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Bourgueil 'la Coudraye' from Domaine Yannick Amirault is a beautiful example of this excellent vintage, offering up superb purity and depth on both the nose and palate. The bouquet offers up a classy constellation of sweet dark berries, black cherries, Cuban tobacco, dark soil tones, espresso and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully sappy down deep in the core, with fine soil signature, ripe, seamless tannins, good acids and a long, complex and perfectly balanced finish. This is stellar. 2018-2045+. (Sep/Oct 2019)"

A classic bistro Cabernet Franc from a top producer in Bourgueil. Spiced red fruit, peppers and herbs. From four lieux-dits (Les Sables, La Coudraye, Les Pins, Les Perriéres) totalling 4-5ha., this mostly loam clay and sand terroir on slopes is situated close to the Loire River. Low average yields of 40HL/ha, hand-harvested, double sorting of grapes, destemmed. Fermentation in wooden tronconique and steel tanks; indigenous yeasts with no acid or sugar adjustment. Aged 1 year in large specially designed wooden tanks.
