91-93 points Jason Wilson (Vinous): "This single barrel sample of the 2019 Chinon Coteau de Noiré displays incredible depth of color. It is already wonderfully smooth and scented yet has underlying muscle and power. It's slightly oaky at this stage, but since it isn't the final blend, let's be kind here and take a look again later in the year. The source of the fruit is a mid-slope lieu-dit of 2.5 hectares on clay-chalk soils. Drink: 2023-2030. (Oct 2021)"
